I Was able to fix the issue. I had to delete my existing pop mail accounts from my ISP before I started mail. And then I just added them back in after mail was opened successfully. Thanks for the reply.

i ended up having to revert back to 10.10 since on the latest beta i stated having issues where at random the computer would just restart and have the flashing folder with a ? in the middle of it. this just started with the beta so ill see what happens now that im off a beta.

So Beta 7 is rock solid on my MBA mid 2012 test machine, have to say I'm really noticing the general performance updates via Metal. I don't thing the split screen functionality is that great, shouldn't need full screen windows. Also I **wish** that they would enable archive in Mail.app, and then give us the option of using this as the swipe gesture. Until such time, I'm using BetterTouch Tool with a two finger tip-tap gesture, that maps to a keyboard shortcut to archive, allows me to speed through my mail with a "tap" (my workflow is to archive all email by default, unless I need to take some kind of action).

I think you can download beta versions of Bartender from their website. At least around Yosemite you could and they put out updates quickly to any issues. I'm internet less at the moment so I can't check if it's still the case.

There's an option in the Preferences to "Update to test builds". They are quite responsive in responding to issues.
