Craig Hockenberry (furbo.org) writes an open letter to Steve Jobs saying that the iPad needs user accounts. I heartily agree. I would like to implement the erase-if-10-wrong-tries function of the lock, however, I routinely let a 5-year old play games and watch videos on my iPad. I can imagine if she gets locked out she might actually try it 10 times and wipe my iPad clean.
I also don't like the fact that any user who is playing with it can accidentally delete an app and all of its stored content along with it. There is usually no way to store any content on the device that doesn't get deleted along with the app.
