Movies to Ipad from Ipod?

I have a bunch of movies - full length - on my Ipod which I plug into a TV when traveling. As far as I can tell the Ipad will not do this. Of course I can use Netflix etc or youtube - but is there a workaround to get movies into the IPAD? (and if not who would need ^$ GB of memory? I don't need to hook the Ipad to a TV - but would like a regular library of movies i could keep and watch w/o a imternet connection.

Yes, iTunes will sync the same movies to an iPad that it syncs to an iPod. After all, one of the apps on the iPad is called "iPod". As for watching on a TV, this is from Apple's website:

* Support for 1024 by 768 pixels with Dock Connector to VGA Adapter; 576p and 480p with Apple Component AV Cable; 576i and 480i with Apple Composite AV Cable

So the same Dock to TV adapters that can be used with an iPod can be used with the iPad.
