does ip5 sim work with ipad lte?

i was unable to find an answer to this question. will my iphone 5 sim card work on my lte ipad mini?

Nope. iPhone 5 uses a nanosim which no iPad does so far.

The iPad Mini does use a Nano SIM card, just like the iPhone 5.

but that mini sim card is specific for ipad and not the iPhone 5

It should work. You'll need to update the APN settings in your Mini first, though. Here's an APN settings link if you need it. Unlockit.co.nz
