We've had a lot of threads about mobile data usage, but I don't recall seeing any threads about broadband data usage.

I'm curious to see what everyone's broadband data usage is like.

Please mention what ISP you have and how much data you use.

    Here's mine. I have Time-Warner Cable.

I use Netflix pretty much all day everyday between me and my neighbor, so a lot.

I use Netflix almost every day.

The reason my December usage is so much higher is because I downloaded many games during the Steam sale.

My provider doesn't track usage since I have unlimited usage but I usually average about 150 GB a month but some months my usage goes up to like 250 GB or the one month I used about 400 GB (that was a fun PC gaming month lol).
*based on math and local usage tracking tools*

Cable Cable inc (local company) in Canada.

We average between 400-600GB per month. We have spikes occasionally where our usage will approach 700GB, and in the last 6 months we had one month where it was only 300GB (we were on vacation for a week when that happened so no surprise there). Thankfully recently, we switched from consumer class to business class with Comcast, and we eliminated the tiered data plan that they initiated back in December. We pay around $85/month vs. the $100+ it would have been with overage charges on the normal plan. It's always nice to have a business license for such things, lol.

I have infinity, how do I check? We all use internet everyday, all day because the Apple TV & Roku run off of it all day; along with our computers, tablets, video games & phones. Yikes

From Comcast: "You can check your current data usage at any time by logging into your My Account page and viewing the data usage meter https://customer.comcast.com/Secure/...terDetail.aspx and signing in as a customer."

Ugh. Fsck Comcast. I've been doing the online thing since the mid 80s with an external 300/400/1200 baud modem. Comcast is THE single worst online provider that I've ever had. I've had Comcast, Cox, Charter, and some others' broadband. If you want actual broadband, if you can get it, is Verizon FiOS. Quicker than greased lightning. NEVER have to wait for a page to load. It seems that everyone else's broadband has pathetic servers and everytime you have to hop from to another, it's like you're interrupting their tea time.

This is exactly why I told them to shove it up their (ahem) and come get their modem before I set it on fire. They kept raising my rates every month and when it hit $98 for a month of service for Internet only, I called and was none too thrilled.

No Comcast here. We originally had Adelphia. Our region got taken over by Time-Warner, which is actually good.

We don't have Verizon here, since we have AT&T. I switched from AT&T to Time-Warner 2 1/2 years ago, and I have no regrets. Time-Warner is a lot better (and faster) than AT&T.

We had Verizon FiOS in Tampa and it was so fast on a 30 meg down plan that a page would fully load before I could click the next bookmark in my bar. It was that fast. No waiting at all.

Time Warner. Cablevision. Comcast. It's all the same here and it all sucks. They used to have those commercials on "It's Comcastic!" meaning it's fun or something is great. We used the term around here when something sucks.

Okay! I found what I was looking for. This is our usage with 3 people and 1 is a kid. That 300 is not going to do.
