Rumor: Microsoft to expand branded hardware in it's quest to compete with Apple

Following up on Rene's great piece on how in Balmer's departure, Microsoft is attempting to remake itself to run more like Apple. The excellent point was made that Apple did this organically and that you can't just repeat their success.

When I saw this rumored new Microsoft hardware, I immediately thought of the article.
