I just bought a flashlight and some batteries. I have an emergency kit I got from the Red Cross a few years back. It's fully stocked so I should be fine. Got my handcrank am/fm shortwave radio too. Come on Irene... I think that was a song several years back.

got 2 flashlights, canned food, and enough water for the next 5 days for me and the wife. what makes me mad, is the fact some people i know are making stupid jokes about this hurricane. this is nothing to joke about. i just wish i could block my windows but i can't because i'm on the second floor.

my iphone is definitely prepped. got a car charger ready just in case we lose power.
