$60 is console prices, and a bit steep for a mobile platform. But the games to seem to be full AAA type games. Hopefully cheaper games will come out too.

I think the pricing is tight. This system is really not for everyone...but Nintendo has done a great job at bringing something different to the market

For me the price for the new Nintendo Switch is decent considering the new features especially the portability. It's a nice upgrade if you are from a Wii U.

I found that it's better to wait 6-12 months before I purchase any gaming system. The prices always come down and for me seem more reasonable. Although Nintendo probably prices their systems the most realistic when compared to the other two manufacturers.

I echo many - at this price, 3-2-1 Switch, should have been included. Then again, people are paying $40 for it, so what do I know?

I think the price is about right for a game console especially with all the ways you can play this one.

I would love to live in the US and earn my income in US dollars. Buying consoles there is so cheap. The switch goes for 700$ in my country. Basic Setup

I'm probably still going to pick one up at some point, but I agree that the device is way over priced especially since I'll be buying a number of accessories to complete the system.

I've never been a console gamer, although I'm not sure Switch can be called a console. I am a PC gamer and have been for a long time. I don't know what all you get for $300 but if that's your thing, then go for it.

Then again I just bought another Dell Precision laptop (i7, 8 core processor, 32 gig ram, nvidia graphics) for $2k so $300 might be a great deal. :-)

I think the price on the gaming console is spot on. Love the hybrid nature that you can't get anywhere else as good! Accessories need to come down in price a bit. Some gaming titles are priced a bit high as well. Things will surely change down the road I am sure, but no arguments on the price of this fantastic console.

Like a few commenters I am not bothered by the $299 device price but the games are very expensive. Hopefully more titles hit by the holidays so some of these games are in the $30 range not $60.

The price is kind of high I think. So are the prices of the accessories. Perhaps in a few months the prices will drop.

I think the price is a little steep especially when you add in the cost of the extra controllers and the games.

Price is right at $299.99. Just need more games! I also wish more consoles were available at my stores. Places online have 'em marked up.

It's a bit pricy for the hardware, but it's nintendo so you know it's going to be pricy. Overall the price isn't that outrageous, though The games are way overpriced.

I really wish it wasn't so expensive!! or that it came bundled with Zelda to help justify the price. I also with that the Pro Controller was more affordable. $70 seems way to high... I'd like to see it at $40 or even $50, plus I think they'd sell a lot more at that price point.

I kindof think that the $1-5 apps are too cheap though... I'm not sure that games are profitable for people anymore at the large full game end of the spectrum at least.

Yeah, I am curious to see how many developers really spend the time and energy on the Switch. Remains to be seen... Development will follow demand I believe.

It's hard to translate a ds user to switch users in a single household, as far as pricing goes. I know the joy-cons can be individual users but it's hard to imagine individual users and buying that way and paying $299 per.

The pricing of the system itself is very reasonable. I was actually impressed with the price. Games are expensive but they are all the same price. I was originally worried the system was going to be like 400 dollars.
