I, too, reluctantly left BB10 and Passport SE a couple months ago for the iPhone 7. I just couldn't fight the app gap any longer, and wanted the coordination with the entire
system and the seamless communication with my family, all of whom have iPhones. What do I miss? The sheer elegance of the SE, the physical keyboard, the Hub, and the true multitasking. I miss the ability to interact with the BB10 operating system sort of like what happened when Windows replaced DOS, those old enough to remember that. I also miss the humorous "edginess" of my fellow Crackberry regulars who wouldn't hesitate to correct anyone who wasn't up to speed on the OS or anything else, for that matter.
That said, the switch to iOS has been relatively painless, and there is a lot to like about it. And I've since gotten an Apple
️ and Air Pods. I don't think I could go back to BlackBerry now, although the Mercury Android with its pkbd might be a temptation for a second phone, depending on the price point.
For now, see you on iMore.
