Listen, if you create a thread and ask for the opinions of others, be mature enough to have an open mind because it is quite frustrating for some people to take the time to give their honest opinion just to discover that what you really want are opinions that mirror your own. If that is what you truly want then when you create your thread, give your own opinion and then specifically ask for the opinions of those similar to yours. Doing so won't guarantee that those with opposing views will not reply, but it may prevent them from wasting their time participating. Also, grow some thick skin and understand that not everyone will sugarcoat their replies. Some of us are just straight-up blunt. It doesn't mean we're trying to be mean, harsh or argumentative. There are those of us who can be described as "brutally honest". Finally, this is iMore. We are a bit more tolerant than other forums, and the ambassadors and moderators here do not sit idly by on the sidelines. We participate just like everyone else. Anyway, I hope the advice given will help you enjoy a pleasant forum experience. Enjoy the rest of your day.
