I think what Ofer was trying to do was this https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/code

So, as an example, perhaps:

<code>console.log("Hello World");</code>

<code>console.log("Hello World");</code>

For the "Code:" line I used the # sign in the post editor, and that creates the special block around the 2nd code example. The first line is how you can insert code in HTML, and is not specially formatted for the blog post with the grey background.
