Thanks, I'll go for the 6s then, and perhaps push it to the 7 if I can.

So I am considering to move my parents to IOS this Christmas, but 8 and X are probably going to be too expensive. Is it "safe" to buy a 6s or maybe even a 6, or should I avoid anything older than 7? They are not advanced users, and most of their usage is probably going to be mail, calling/SMS...
