I had it. It works really good, just make sure you align it properly because if you don't and an end sticks out or doesn't adhere correctly it will start peeling off. but it comes with a lifetime guarantee!

How old is the phone? If it's not reading your SIM card, that sounds like a device issue, not jailbreaking.

Correct. As far as I know, you can't unlock the iPhone and will just have to make sure that you turn your data off and that you talk to Roger's first to see what your charges will be.

I never use the Contacts app. I would prefer it if I could delete it as well as the Stocks app.

I work for AT&T. When the system makes a sweep, generally every month, it will automatically change your plan and then notify you and say, "Your plan has been changed." I don't know when exactly the sweep is done though. I think it depends on where you're located.

I got mine at the AT&T Store in Clarksville, TN on July 28th, 2008. Those people were exceptionally rude. I can't wait for the new one.
