Anyone planning on using their Switch as a tablet?

Nintendo still uses the archaic friend code system, and hasn't learned just how suboptimal their experience is. Sad but true... once connected to a friend, you can't voice chat due to the lack of microphone. I don't know about textual message sending as I had no friends on previous consoles with...

Anyone planning on using their Switch as a tablet?

Yes, but knowing Nintendo and mobile they're not that daring. Great idea!

Finally got a Switch today... now, what games to get?

I tried ordering one of those bundles from GameStop. Waited ~20 days, no change, cancelled and ended up going to a Target fairly far away, where I found one.

Finally got a Switch today... now, what games to get?

I have Zelda: Breath of the Wild as my sole Switch game. Mario Kart 8 I'll be sure to pick up.

Finally got a Switch today... now, what games to get?

I have Breath of the Wild, and 2 SD cards with 128 GB capacity. What other games (both retail and on the eShop) would you recommend? I have a bunch of gift cards I intend to use on Switch retail games.

External hard drive for Time Machine ejecting for no reason

My Mac seems to be haunted. When I move it to connect something to the USB ports on the rear, my Time Machine disk mysteriously disappears from the Computer view and the OS complains that it wasn't ejected properly, even though I definitely didn't mean to eject it or even touched the Thunderbolt...

How to learn to develop IOS apps

Welcome! There are plenty of resources to get started. The type of app is a factor: you need a different approach for a game than you do for a drawing app, for example.

    Applescript Discussions?

AppleScript is certainly developer oriented, and is indeed welcome here :)

    Preferred Mac for programmers?

It really depends on if portability is a factor. If not, the Retina iMac line is a great choice, and is what I use. Otherwise, the MacBook Pro wins easily.

What to expect at WWDC 2017

Looking forward to the usual operating system updates. As far as hardware goes I don't have high hopes but I wouldn't be surprised if something's announced, particularly for the less common Apple hardware platforms, such as the TV and watch.

    iPhone Developer FAQ

The biggest issue I have had to deal with when developing is certificate and key management. It's absolutely critical that you get this right. Fortunately, if you goof up and find yourself without your keys and certificates, you can simply download them from Apple's Developer Portal, then import...

Brighten The Day of the Person Above

I'm going to do something I normally don't do, which is guess that the poster above is from Canada and is a sports fan. On that note, I see light at the end of the tunnel for the injury-wracked Toronto Blue Jays. They're finally starting to get their act together and pitching better than they...

Anyone planning on using their Switch as a tablet?

If the Switch is updated with the support needed, AND I manage to get one, sure. I'll probably use it primarily in portable mode anyhow.

    No 1080?

1080p, eh? I thought this thread was about the lack of a 1080 Snowboarding title. Anyway... the Switch has the interesting ability to not ALWAYS be forced to 720p in its dock. Case in point: The Bomberman game (I forget its name) was updated to run at 540p in exchange for higher frame rates.

Two Month Later and you STILL can't find it!

Thanks for the tip IvanKaramazov. Done. We shall see.
