I bought a Barton canvas band shortly after I got my watch, do not recommend. Being canvas the color bled almost immediately and turned into this ugly drab combination of tan, green, and blue without being subjected to the above abuses.

Same! Always toss it on the charger while showering and almost always take it off for dishes, unless like you I forget. One time I was at a friend’s house and everyone with an Apple Watch including my wife gave me a weird look when I took it off before getting in the pool, they left theirs on.

“New” in this context just means Verizon hasn’t seen it on their network before, which typically means fresh out of the box but could also be any older device that has the necessary bands to use on various carriers. If it’s an older device of yours or has been used by a Verizon customer before...

I was going to go 5 years with my 12 Pro but at the rate the battery has deteriorated it seems I should have shelled out a little more and gotten the Max. The cost of replacing the battery two, maybe three times would make the price tag about even.

I've rarely had a Verizon rep that didn't know what they were doing; that being said, try their cancellation department if you have issues with a regular rep. They seem to have better information and god tier levels of problem resolution.

Re: Screen protector I used to use dbrand's Prism until I found these, inexpensive so they're easy to keep on hand as well as apply. Which is great, since my wife and daughter seem to go out of their way to damage them.

I'm a huge fan of Reddit, highly recommend. And then get the Apollo app. I didn't have as much problem with the stock Reddit app as some others, but Apollo is just much better. Apple News is pretty decent from what I've used it, but to date it hasn't been enough to drag me away from Reddit.

Dark Sky was once really good. The year before Apple purchased it they started going noticeably downhill, but still wasn't actually bad. Though compared to the Weather Channel-powered native weather app, they're coming up short in my area at least.
