Quick question. Is it normal right now for me to get a sum mismatch error for most of the stuff I'm trying to download from cydia? All i want is the dam SBsettings!!!

Although I have to say.. I dont know if my Grandma would have known to jailbreak my phone with the ipsw file. She would have dropped dead before figuring that part out.

You guys really all are geniouses. This worked like a charm. Spread the word for everyone with the "hmmm...something went wrong. please blow me" error message. This fixes it!

Guys..help me out here...first off...WTF is a ipsw file. Secondly...when you say "USE ITUNES and restor from 5.1.1 ipsw, where in ITUNES do you do that?

Omatus...mine was updated to 5.1.1 the day it was released.

Same issue...after restoring from my original backup...I then tried the jailbreak again...it appeared that it was working...after it rebooted my phone it says "wating for process to finish" or something like that...but my phone wasn't doing anything at all..after a few minutes...i then get the...

In the process of restoring my backup now..then I will try to jailbreak. Will let you know.

Thanks Raw...but it doesnt work as easily for others as it did for you. I tried mine on a mac and a PC and it says something went wrong and fails. This is apparently happening to a ton of people

My problem is similar to everyone elses. Have a 4S on verizon. I have both a MAC and a PC and I tried it on both. I get the "hmmm..something went wrong" message. Can't wait for this to be friggin resolved!
