    Gizmodo gave Textie a good review for what it is worth to you... I'm going to try the free app for a bit and see how it works, but chances are it'll get better if/when more people adopt it

    why not? maybe on a sketchy wifi network I wouldn't want to, but why not 3G or a secure wifi?

    Seconded. Being optimistic and thinking that someone who finds it wants to return your ipad is all good, but chances are they are not looking to return it. But hey, here's to hoping it helps you one day, or that you never have to rely on it at all.

    Personally I like Apple's own cover, though it's not much of a kickstand you can use it to angle the ipad or stand it up.

    morphie's are great, and there are plenty of similar products for cheaper like nillam said, but even for the price of a morphie it's well worth not having my phone die when I need it most.

    4G/HD-like case for the 3GS?

    Don't think I've seen any like it, though you may see a lot start to come out. Funny how they had a case to impersonate a 3GS and now you're looking for one to impersonate a 4G/HD
