Well, I waited in line today and finally got my new iPhone (yay!) But during the wait, there was a girl that was 4th in line who was talking to these 3 guys who pulled up after the line was getting pretty long. Wasn't turned away today!! YAY! I got to my nearest AT&T store at around 630 am today (store opened at 10am) and I was 8th in line. There were only 40 phones shipped to this store as well... (is that the magic number for iPhone shipments? seems like it). However, the lady who rung me up did...

I wasn't worried that I wasn't going to get an iPhone today and look what happened *waaaaaahhh* I am going to roll out of bed tomorrow and wait in line again... I think my store sold out in like 3-4 hours... NOT cool.

I'm a little worried but I think it could go either way with the lines and what not. People are saying b/c of the dropped price, the 3G and the GPS that all those fence-sitters are going to flock to this model but then on the other hand, I've heard people saying that those aren't big enough...

I don't mind going to the AT&T stores. Once I'm done buying the phone, my work is only like 5 minutes away from the store!!! I live in the 'burbs and our mall is just now getting an Apple store but it's not even close to being done yet. Plus the closest Apple store to me is kind of in a bad part...

I currently have a Samsung Blackjack II. The guy @ AT&T installed Google Maps and Telenav on my phone through Active Sync. I have compared directions that both programs have given me when I was down in LA and they both gave me completely different turn by turn directions. Google maps got me lost...

There's no way in h*** I would buy that. First of all, gold is, yes, incredibly GAUDY. Second of all, I would be doubly paranoid about carrying around an $8500 iPhone. That's just overkill. It would look better on display than actually using it.

This will be my first iPhone and needless to say, I'm ecstatic!!! I plan on waiting at around 5-6 in the morning and hope I'm close to first in line! I don't see a lot of people waiting for this phone to come out in my town. But then again, ya never know.

I have the most terrible time waking up in the morning but I am willing to get up and get ready to stand in line at 5-6 in the morning to be the first in line to buy the phone before I go to work. (I know that pales in comparison with the people who are already standing in line @ the NYC store)...
