synchronisation problems Ipad calender with Google Calender

It sounds like your iPad and your Google Calendar account are set to different time zones. In Google Calendar, click the Settings icon (the gear in the upper right corner). Under the General tab, the third setting down is "Your current time zone". Set it to your current time zone. It should be...

    3G gets pokier still

I am still on a 3G with 4.2 also, and am getting frustrated with the delays too. I really want to hold out for the next HW release in September (or whenever), but it is getting difficult. I think the problem is more on the app side than the iOS itself. Nobody is interested in optimizing for the...

Has anyone here used any of the cheap speaker docks best buy sells?

I agree with blink. You can definitely hear the difference. The Logitech S715i are more expensive at about $100, but they sound great, and they have a rechargeable battery built in so they can easily move around the house, to the garage, laundry room, backyard, whatever. I love them.

    Question for Leanna L.

I think they have them at the Apple company store in Cupertino, if you happen to be in the area. It is open to the public. They have lots of schwag (shirts, mugs, pens, etc) there that isn't generally available at the retail stores.

AT&T 4G sim Trimmed and into iPhone 4?

I trimmed my iPhone 3G sim to fit into my iPad. It works fine. I even use the surrounding part of the original sim as an adapter, and continue to use it in my phone. I did the trimming with an exacto knife. As long as you are careful, it will work fine.

iOS 4.3 March 11th for all iOS devices except CDMA

As an iPhone 3G holdout, I take exception to your subject line. The iPhone 3G *IS* an iOS device, but it is not supported by 4.3.

About how long will a person get out of an iPhone before needing to upgrade?

I still use a 3G, going on 2.5 years now. You're right, I don't get all the features of ios4, but I don't care. It's still light years ahead of the phone I was using 5 years ago. I may get the new iPhone 5 this summer, or maybe not. If you're really concerned with using every possible new iOS...

    Mobile Terminal crashes

The version of Mobile Terminal available in the standard Cydia repositories is not compatible with iOS 4. Not sure why they haven't updated it. You can get a compatible version here: mobileterminal - Project Hosting on Google Code, along with instructions on how to install it.

Will Verizon Cripple the the GPS on the iPhone?

Not sure where you got this info, but it is false. aGPS *does* access satellites directly. The "a" means "assisted", which uses some other means (usually cell tower triangulation) to improve startup signal acquisition. After startup, it works just like a normal GPS receiver. AT&T does not...

    Official 4.2 bug report/trouble-shooting thread

It's actually not that strange. Apple (and others) do it for load balancing. Imagine if all hundred-million-plus iOS users tried to download at the exact same time. It would cause havoc for the servers.

What more do you want in the Next iPhone?

No physical ports or buttons. Wireless syncing (WiFi, 3G and Bluetooth), wireless inductive charging, wireless headphones (BT) only. The only holes on the thing should be speaker & mic.

Which is the best app for tethering

@jboog - check the latest version of PDAnet. It *does* work with iPad by creating a WiFi hotspot. I was just doing that.

    Jailbreak For Iphone 3G 8Gb 4.1

I also used Pwnage on my 3G. It worked fine. I think you can also use the latest redsn0w beta. I tried it a couple months ago but had problems with USB audio playback on my Alpine car stereo so I restored. I haven't found any problems after JBing with pwnage.
