At this point everyone is just speculating, but I've heard people saying that on Feb 3rd pre-orders will only be available for people "upgrading" and not the full-retail buyers. Hope this isn't the case, as I'm buying full retail from Apple.com

I've been coming to this website for awhile now even though I've been a long time Verizon customer. Last fall I bought a Droid because it was the closest thing to the iPhone on Verizon, and all through that time I've visited several sites daily dedicated to Android and also still iPhone sites...

My guess is the week of Feb 1st, goes along with the rumors of Apple blocking the vacation time during that week.

I will definitely be buying it as soon as its available for pre-order. I'm one of those people who is locked into a contract with the original Droid, but am not happy with it and will happily be paying full price for the Verizon iPhone, Plus I do have a $250 Apple gift card that I got for xmas...
