Not sure if this has been posted but came across this today and I must say its a beauty.

You charge the pack to full. Then on the pack, there is an on and off switch. You can have it charge your phone continuously or turn it on when battery is low (~1-30%)and use it to act as a external back up battery and charge your phone. It I quite usefull and I'm sure it will fit the 4s

No you don't. I have one set up without one.. Then again, this was made back in 2010 so don't know if it has changed

Just restore again as maybe something went wrong during the upgrade process. There is no way going down to iOS 4 unless you have saved your shsh blobs
