Ran into problem: after backing up, i upgraded from jailbroken 4.01 to 4.1. I did via iTunes restore. It failed, and seemed to be stuck in recovery mode. After several retries, I used tinyumbrella to kick out of recovery, then restored from backup. Seemed fine. Everything appeared as before...

@jglowe74 I have been trialing the basic 200 texts/month package and using textfree with those I text most, such as my wife, who don't mind adding another number to address book. I save my text plan for the rest. I wish ATT unlimited text plan wasn't so much more, extra 20$ / month.

Why not use one of the many free texting apps instead of GV? I use Textfree because it issues a real phone number you can give out - no MMS with it though. All using data. When your broke, every $ counts.:)
