    so mine is still preparing for shipment, but when I check the shipping for reference it was in Kentucky yesterday. Still shows for on-time by EOD Friday.

    Best Buy Launch Day

    I think you're better off going to a carrier store than Best Buy. I purchased a Note 7 and I didn't get on launch day, they didn't have my phone until the Tuesday after. You can still pre-order in store, but it won't guarantee you one on launch day.

    I probably won't go naked because I use magnetic mounts in my cars. I usually get those ultra slim cases to protect from scratches.

    Two disappointments

    The audio jack takes up a significant amount of space in the internals of the phone. Space that Apple probably put to better use. There are pros/cons to the move, but it's necessary to push the industry forward.

    Apple's done this before, and will continue to do it to move the industry forward. I've been using Bluetooth headphones for a few years now, and have several unopened earpods in a drawer somewhere.

    I wasn't originally a fan of gold, but I was kind of forced to get a gold 6 plus on release day. Now...gold is best! I just picked up a gold air 2 yesterday.

    Questions if its locked

    My understanding is that all recent iPads are unlocked. The sim can be locked, so you would just need to remove it, and replace it with a SIM card from the carrier of your choice.

    Is Apple going to have a lightening dock? I like to have my phone docked upright and using an adpater on the universal dock doesn't seem ideal to me.

    Transferring purchases from my work computer to iphone

    Can you select the manually manage the information when you connect to your work computer? You need to be using the same itunes id, then you have to authorize the computer. I think that should do it. Worst case report a problem and redownload the song at home or your iPhone.
