Will Apple Ever Combine Calendar, Mail & Reminders Into One App?

Probably not Mail but reminders and calendar is a possibility. It could easily just display your reminders, when they’re due, similarly to calendar events now. But I think they’ve separated them as there are people who don’t use the calendar app but love reminders. I think they’ll keep them...

    iOS 11.2 Dev Beta 3

Re: 11.2 Developer Beta 3 Before the forum gets crowded, quick question. Updating to beta 3 on iPhone (beta 2 on iPad). My new iPhone comes in today. Will I just need to set the phone up as new > download the beta profile/update > then restore from backup (the iPhone running beta 3)?

    Developer Beta 10

Looks like Apple Music is now sending notifications for new album releases. Haven’t seen in any previous betas but received one for LCD Soundsystem today [emoji848]

I think the “swipe up to view earlier notifications” is getting ironed out and will return in the next beta/final release? To view notifications on the lock screen (after actually locking it) if you swipe up in the middle of the screen like previously it brings up all notifications. It doesn’t...

Sorry you’re right. I restarted and like you said it was a bug. It’s not in the video but before it took the entire top block and moved it with your scrolling (making it look like the content was fading/blurring into the status bar, back button, etc.) False alarm :)

https://youtu.be/XjtweZMTdv8 Might be hard to tell but the back button basically acts as a header and scrolls as you scroll (if that makes sense)

You sure? It’s like a constant header and I think it’s going with the new titles. The larger text shrinks when you tap into the next screen and expands when you go back and it kinda makes sense. I don’t mind it so hopefully not a bug :/

May be alone here, but kind of miss the swipe up to see older notifications on the lock screen/NC. It kinda made them feel like one unit/helped define the “layers” design language

Unsure if mentioned but when scrolling in music app (and maybe others?) the back arrows follow your scroll motion so you don’t have to scroll all the way to the top just to go back a previous page.

To upgrade or not to upgrade? That is the question.

Given how most carrier plans are setup now, it makes sense for most people to just trade in and get the latest every year. I upgraded on every device except these last 2 bc they just didn’t seem significant from the 6/6+ to make the jump (for me). I think the current devices are obviously...

I have to say, I like the new animations and the way the os seems more “alive” but I wonder if 3rd party apps will adopt the look/feel and to what extent (like the bold fonts and large typefaces more prominent this beta)

For some reason it would get stuck in the old animation loop when switching to multitask for me. Again not sure if I did anything other than let the beta figure itself out.

Can confirm. Was doing that last night after I installed. I hard reset/rebooted it and let it sit on the charger over night. This morning seems like the beta has “settled” (if that makes sense) Try a clean install Oh and this only happened on my 6+. My iPad Air 2 runs much smoother
