Poor video quality when texting to Android friends

Thank you for all the replies. I have workarounds, and admit I never thought of sending a shared photo album to an Android user, didn’t know that would work. If only they knew what they were missing, but most are so proud.

Poor video quality when texting to Android friends

Anytime I send video in a group text that includes Android phone users, the video quality is degraded for all of the recipients including those with iPhones. Is there anyway to fix that other than buying my Android friends iPhones?

Recommendation for an external digital-to-analog converter?

Not that I’ve been able to find, and I have looked for it.

Recommendation for an external digital-to-analog converter?

Yeah and it’s the down sample rate that I thought was being shown when touching the Lossless or Hi-Res Lossless button on the music app page showing the song that’s playing. That’s what someone on another forum suggested. I’m now trying to determine if the music app is downsampling when I play...

Recommendation for an external digital-to-analog converter?

Update to what I thought was happening. I see the same thing for lossless settings when using AirPod Pros, which are not supposed to be capable of playing hi-res lossless. So touching the lossless or hi-res lossless button on the iPhone song info is telling me what the song can play at, not what...

Recommendation for an external digital-to-analog converter?

Thanks. It turns out the DAC in my Denon AVR can convert and play hi-res lossless just by plugging an iPhone into it with the standard Apple iPhone Lightning cord. Apple Music is playing Lossless at 44.1 kHz and Hi-res lossless up to 192 kHz depending on the song. Next thing will be to see what...

Recommendation for an external digital-to-analog converter?

I’m looking for an external digital-to-analog converter to play Apple Music lossless at the maximum sample rates. I want to connect an iPhone to my AVR and play lossless Apple Music at the highest sample rates available. I haven’t found anything that has the appropriate connections for iPhone...

    CarPlay connection issues

Do a Google search and you should be able to find a website that you input your VIN to see if there’s a firmware update. As I recall I was able to download a firmware update for the stock HU on my 2016 Wrangler and plug a USB thumbdrive into the HU or console to update. There will be...

I checked that on a UConnect website with the VIN number and it said the firmware was up to date.

    CarPlay connection issues

2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk, CarPlay starts up about 50% of the time, doesn’t matter what cable I use. Only way to get it to connect is restarting my iPhone while connected. I don’t have this problem with Alpine or Pioneer head units in other vehicles, only with the stock UConnect HU. Any...

It happens on wi-fi and cellular, doesn’t seem to make any difference.

    App store won’t open

More often than not when I try to open the App Store app on my iPhone 12 Pro Max, the app doesn’t open or is very slow to open, many times giving me a screen saying Cannot Connect To App Store, Retry. It happens with my older 10s Max and 7 Plus as well. It never happens with my iPad Pro. When I...

How to classify non-Bluetooth speaker devices on iPhone?

I chatted with Apple support and they told me to reset the iPhone. Copied the message below. To Reset All Settings Next on your device. Please go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks, cellular settings, Bluetooth, Do No Disturb, Notifications...

How to classify non-Bluetooth speaker devices on iPhone?

I don’t think it’s app related, the message popped up when I plugged the iPhone into the dock.

How to classify non-Bluetooth speaker devices on iPhone?

Yes the app has a volume control but it was being overridden by the iPhone thinking I was using wired headphones and playing them too loud. That sounds silly saying the iPhone was thinking. I actually gave up trying to fix it and changed the old iPhone I’m using for the alarm. I could have reset...
