the wifi signal the mywi produces is for using OTHER devices over wifi. your iphone is still on 3g or edge and using data from your plan as you surf/download with your other device.

mywi is intended to produce a wifi signal using the 3g signal so you can use other devices over wifi. assuming you are using it as intended it is running off of the 3g signal and using your data as you surf/download/listen to music on your other device.

ok. this started happening to me a week or so ago. i can open the camera app and use the still camera with no problems. i can toggle to the vid cam just fine. but when i hit record the bar goes gray and nothing is being recorded. no timer in the corner. focus still works. and the flash options...

the old-bootrom 3gs is breakable with redsn0w

after i backed the phone up, i followed these directions: iphonedownloadblog.com/2010/09/08/downgrade-iphone-ios-4-1/ worked like a charm. restored as new, re-broke with limera1n, and then reloaded the old backup.

ok. update. i got all my shsh's saved on cydia and TU. now. whats the next best way to go about this? should i upgrade and restore all the way up to 4.2 and then downgrade back to 4.1 and then limerain it? or can i simply upgrade/restore up to 4.1 and use limerain without having to downgrade?
