Hogwash. If that were the case, why do (for instance) iPad2 IOS updates at all? ...or any update for that matter? You'll just get it with the assumed new purchase in 2 years!

Why no Siri on iPad2? This little thing called FRAGMENTATION which Apple claims they don't have. The new screen sizes and dock connectors are just making it worse. There is no reason not to have Siri and Passbook on iPad2 other than to force early replacements. Pretty sad.

I like a subtle, but noticable SMS tone. All of the included ones are a bit obnoxious. And yea, from what I read, jailbreaking a 3GS right now isn't the brightest idea. I'm definitely gonna keep an eye on it though.

I want to, just need to make sure I learn about the risks and mistakes not to make. And so far every time I go start researching, I see "don't jailbreak the 3GS just yet" so I think there's still a little learning curve going on out there in jailbreak land. Looking forward to checking it...
