Unsightly/clunky are poor descriptions, since that is up to the individual. I like the industrial look and want my things to last, so bigger cases don’t bother me, especially in my line of work. With that said, Spigen makes a number of different designed cases and face protection. I’d start there.

I still feel like Apple maps has a long way to go. I stick with Google maps, since it works and just keeps getting better. Apple maps feels like a secondhand afterthought.

It doesn't look well worn to me. NATO style woven bands should last well beyond a year. Apple has a quality issue with that strap. I am sure a 3rd party NATO style woven strap would last longer than a year.
