I've noticed these two issues/glitches as well. I'm running it on iPhone 6plus. Maybe it's the lack of processor power compared to the 7. But I hope they fix it as well on the coming updates.

The News app is only available in the US market for the time being. I'm sure it'll be expanded soon.

That's not a bug, the default is to clear all notification within the same day. If you go into Settings, you can set it to only clear notifications app by app sent the same day.

Re: Siri/spotlight suggestions (neabry) is not showing in ios 9 That menu is what you get when you pull down on the page. To get the spotlight menu with nearby and news you need to swipe to the right from the first page of your apps. You'll then get that spotlight search you are looking for.
