Same problem here. Why do they show a completely useless message like "Unable to move at this time"? If the servers are overloaded, say "Our servers are overloaded"...! The system status page shows everything normal.

Notifications are not shown on the lock screen if they came in while the phone was unlocked. So basically, if the phone is unlocked and you're not looking at it, if a notification comes in and then disappears using the banner, when the phone locks the notification is NOT shown.

Yes, a single icon that indicates outstanding notifications is desperately needed. If people have an issue with a new icon (I can't see why they would) then Apple could flash the time once a second or alternate the time with an icon or text. The main point is that you should be able to pick up...

Yeah, who knows! I'm amazed how they could let that one pass - 4 releases to think about how to do notifications the right way and the best way, and none of their UI geniuses could come up with that? I mean, how hard is it to put a new icon in the status line? In this sense, it's almost worse...

It makes sense is to have an "outstanding notifications" icon in the status bar - this way, if notifications come and go, you'll always know if there are unread alerts. Seems like a big oversight... Even if there is no space in the status bar for a new icon they could do other things with it...

Wow, seems like a big oversight. What happens if you missed seeing the notification bar pop up at the top and disappear, or if you saw it but forgot about it later? Seems like there should be some little icon in the status bar that indicates outstanding alerts. And, if the notification happened...
