i've spent nothing, it barely ever leaves my house and cases just ruin its beauty! Plus when it does leave the house, it gets put in my bag wrapped in a hoody or coat etc and that does the trick :)

Try putting it into dfu mode and restoring to new (not from backup!) if that doesn't work, it could be a hardware error in which case, a new phone/repair would be needed

give the phone a '2 finger solute' basically hold the home and apple button for upwards of 20seconds and it should force it to boot, if not, do it whilst plugged in and you'll be able to restore, it won't be in dfu but it will be recognisable by iTunes, if all of that fails there is an app that...
