    Tethered 4.3.1 Jailbreak Problem

My bad on the link. I tried to do the tether boot by powering down my phone, running the tether utility, and then throwing my phone in to DFU mode when asked. It would run 3 lines of code, then tell me my phone needed to be in DFU mode, although it was because iTunes was stating it was. Not...

    Tethered 4.3.1 Jailbreak Problem

I'm having an issue with the 4.3.1 Jailbreak. I have a 16GB iPhone 4 running on AT&T. Prior to upgrading to 4.3.1, I was on the untethered jailbreak for 4.1. I'm following THIS guide, and I have confirmed that every step was carried out properly. I even searched for a few others, but they're...

    iPhone 4 4.2.1 Jailbreak Issue

I've searched the forum but can't find anything that matches what I'm experiencing. Guess I don't have the right key words or whatever. Anyway, I have an iPhone 4. Yesterday, I updated a couple of apps on Cydia which conflicted with others, and before I knew it, it screwed up my iPhone...

    iPhone NOT jailbroken...WTF?!

I use the iPhoneBrowser utility to tether my iPhone to a Win7 PC and then be able to do file management and work on my custom themes and what not. I recently restored my phone (had some encounters with bad programs yadayada) and then ran through SpiritJB. Now, none of the browser clients I...

TiPb Give Away: 10 FREE Slacker Plus Subscriptions Up for Grabs!

Discovered 8-bit Techno I stumbled across Anamanaguchi's Blackout City using the Last.FM app, and it's changed my world. Imagine the power of hacked out NES with guitarists and musicians that have a passion for sweet nostalgic melodies. Best techno I've listened to in a while.

Steps to insure my iPhone is safe after jailbreak :)

I'd make sure to change your SSH passwords on both the Mobile and Root folder... 1: Download the program called Terminal 2: Open terminal 3: You should be on a line that says "iphone name :~ mobile$" > Type 'passwd' (ignore all quotations). 4: The current password is 'alpine' > then enter and...

    Questions about Rock and Cydia.....

I believe they use some of the same repo's, but a lot of developers haven't given permission to Rock yet...mainly a lot of the paid apps. In my opinion though, Rock is faster, easier to handle, and the backup/recovery tool alone is priceless

Problem running app store native apps

I'd try a re-install of the app, just delete from your iPhone, connect to iTunes and re-sync the deleted app. If that works, I'd do it for all of them. There shouldn't be any problem with running official apps from the appstore. I know Skype gave me a warning earlier on about running on...

redsn0w hates me and my iPhone 3g

redsn0w and I have no more problems...we made up Seems that I did the right thing to get on redsn0w's good side. Thanks for the help guys. The trick really was to unplug/replug the USB cable. I got scared at the white screen for a moment, but it didn't seem to matter. Thanks again.

Makes sense, I've just always went with the iPhone backup. Never had a problem, and my iPhone has always been really speedy after jailbreaking.

redsn0w hates me and my iPhone 3g

I do have access to a PC, but I've never had much luck with speed between the iPhone and PC. They get along, but don't necessarily like each other, LOL. I figured it was DFU, but I really don't get that part of it. I just follow instructions >.<
