I just purchased another Apple TV2 and it came with iOS 4.4.2 installed. This firmware only has an tethered jailbreak currently available. I want to downgrade to 4.3 so I can have an untethered jailbreak. The only problem is that Apple is not signing 4.3 anymore and I don't have the shah files...

Or you can jailbreak your ATV2 and install a media server like XBMC or PLEX and then you don't have to convert anything!!

AppleTV is awesome!!! But AppleTV + XBMC is unreal!!! XBMC is like PLEX (mentioned earlier in this thread) but it also allows you to stream media from the intenet on demand. Simply by installing some easy plug-ins (something called IceFilms) you can get access to a library of free, streaming...

If you jailbreak your ATV2 and install XBMC with the IceFilms addon you'll never go back to regular TV (except maybe for live sports) ever again. Its basically every Tv show or movies you would ever want to watch...streaming on demand...for free! Its been a life-changer for me! xbmc.org

This is true, but only if you install an SSH program on your iPhone and leave it open. As long as you don't leave your SSH program open (or just don't download it) no one should be able to access your phone.

Same question I have the same question. Is it possible to use the iPhone camera without having the main screen on? I know this feature was possible using Cycorder (via Cydia) for those who have jailbroken phones, but Cycorder only works with iPhone 2G & 3G, not the 3GS. :confused:
