I went with the Apple short corded adapter which takes care of that problem and puts less stress (due to weight) on the lighting connector then the solid adapter does.

My Gold 64G was originally promised by 8 Oct- 11 Oct and I am getting it today. I hope that you have the same luck with your order. Sorry to hear about your broke 4s. I think that Apple normally under promises and over delivers on their orders.

That is great news. My order went to "preparing for shipment" last night and this morning I got my shipping email so you are getting close.

I don't think that you are "in the window" yet. I know my confirmation email specifically said "Available to ship: 7-10 business days" which would mean that the window would start in the middle of next week.
