Did you order the HotSpot service from Verizon? It is a fee-based service that you have to order from Verizon.

"Pre-order" does not mean "pre-release". It only means you can place the order before it is released.

My Moto Droid was archaically slow compared to my new 4S. Heck, compared to my Droid, this iPhone is borderline precognitive. :D

Siri is pretty cool. I like how I can talk in a normal conversational tone and it recognizes all my words. With my Droid I had TO. SPEAK. LOUDLY. AND. PAUSE. BETWEEN. EACH. WORD. to get it to recognize me accurately. My one complaint so far with Siri - I asked "Where is the nearest Best Buy...

Migrated from a Moto Droid. Wow, what a difference! I am completely satisfied so far. The camera alone makes this a worthwhile upgrade for me.

After retrying several times, my phone finally activated around noon Central Time. I am on Verizon, BTW. I am enjoying my first iPhone very much now! :D

My new Verizon-based 4S arrived and I am having trouble activating. Appears the activation servers are getting hammered, but I expected that. Screen keeps saying activation failed and to try again in a few minutes. I will oblige.

That reminds me of another thing I dislike about my Droid: when I use the GPS for navigation, it heats up REALLY bad. Almost enough that I can't carry it in my hands until it has been off for several minutes.:eek:

I have a Motorola Droid (the original.) I really liked it at first, but it has always had a less than pleasing UX compared to my friend's iPhone. My phone is SLOW and I have to power cycle it at least twice a week to keep it running at a decent pace. The Android Market worked fine for me until...
