It depends. If you have apps running, like rss, push, email, etc, it will reduce your battery life. However, your battery life shouldn't be reduced as much as you're showing. I would lose about 10-15% overnight with my 3GS and now, with the iPhone 4, I only lose about 5% overnight. I've noticed...
