But does unpairing mean the intentional act of unpairing the phone or watch? Or does that include a "loss of connection"? Hope that made sense. Having two watches (assuming one can afford it) would definitely be handy for some people.

People in the Pebble community turn off the watch they want "unpaired" then turn on the watch they want "paired" up. Not sure if this would work in the case of reauthorizing specific watches.

I do. It's more convenient to lift my wrist to see if I can afford a few more winks. It also acts as a silent alarm since I need to wake up as early as 4am with two little ones in the house.

I think you may have settled my dilemma. When I heard of the Apple Watch, using it as an alarm in order to allow everyone else to sleep, was my original intent for use. I may just go with a Pebble after all and save a couple hundred dollars.

Not sure how it would fare in a more "professional" type of shoot, but it seems, for the average Joe / Jane, it's something that should be looked into.

If that's the case, that's unfortunate. Never had to do that with the previous iOS builds and I always had orientation lock on since I rarely watch videos on my phone. Also, it isn't always repeatable, though others have reported that opening the camera app in landscape also causes this issue.
