The SD movies do look pretty good, not as good as the HD but its pretty minimal in my opinion. I try and conserve space so prefer the SD

True I don't fully like the design of the apple case (the edges bother me a bit) but its nice to prop it up when typing landscape or to put it on a table for a slideshow

really depends on your use, my iPad has replaced my MBP for 90% of things but those other 10% I do still need the MBP for (until some apps are developed) maybe in another year things will be different.
