People have to argue about something, I guess. I have been guilty of judging Android but it comes down to preference. As for the 60 + year old iPhone would probably be fine. It's easy to use right out of the box. Just depends on what size. Tell them to check out the forums here for help too.

I would love to stay with Android for a year just to say I did and the Note 7 is sweet, but I didn't notice how different touchwiz was other than it looked a little more iOS-like. What kills Android for me is dropping texts. I can't live with it and couldn't figure why it was happening.

I've been having trouble with it when it pops up as a notfication and hard pressing to read the full text. It shows blank. I have to send feedback on that. I haven't noticed this problem though. Still beta and I still like playing around with it though.

I had a Nexus 5x and 6p and it was smoother and less cluttered, but it was Android again. I missed iMessage and some of the cleaner feel of iOS. It may be good for you, though. They are nice phones.

If the rumors are true about a bump in resolution to 2k/quad hd for the 7 plus and 1080p for the iPhone 7, then yes, it would be worth it. I hope that rumor is true. I saw it posted yesterday on iMore.
