I bought this Keyboard Case new and still have the box for it. It connects via the Smart Connector so you don’t have to pair or charge this. Once it connects to the magnet via the Smart Connector the keys light up and it’s ready to be used. I just upgraded to 3G iPad Pro 12.9” and sold my 1G IPP so I have no use for this anymore. Has served me well during many business trips and helped me watch movies/shows on the plane.
