I have heard of sites like CashForiPhones.com that will offer to buy your iPhone. Has anyone tried this? I really want an iPhone 4 but can't possibly come up with the $300 (gotta have 32GB). The website above offered $315 for my 3GS. Is this a good resource? Or should I just go with eBay to sell it? Any suggestions would be helpful.

Try FlipSwap. They are actually in stores and I know for a fact they're legit.

I sold mine on eBay. After all the assorted eBay and PayPal fees, I still cleared more than the $300 I paid for my iPhone 4. I was shocked when I got $160 for my son's 1st gen iPod touch 16gb last week. Santa's bringing him a new 32gb iPod touch.

I can recommend Welcome to WenneCorp! I sold them my original iPad and the second one I got for free. Easy to work with and they paid fair market value and issued funds via PayPal without delay. I worked with Nick email him at nick@wennecorp.com
