Siri: Call Failed on macos Sierra

Siri on my iMac will attempt the call but keeps giving me a Call failed message; however, I can place and receive calls with face time through a normal user interaction. So any idea what i am doing wrong or what i do not have set?

This may sound silly, but check your contact's info and make sure the phone number you are trying to call is listed. I just tried to call my DH and the call failed because I did not have his cell number listed on his contact card. After editing his contact info and adding his number, I called again and it went through just fine.
