Looks like Mac OS Sierra is arriving anytime soon.

Safari 10.0 just appeared on my App Store Updates page. Downloading now.

Anybody else see this on their App Store Updates tab?

Yup (Toronto, Canada) - no sign of MacOS before or after this installation.

...meanwhile, it's all a bit bizarre. Why release Safari as a separate installation if you're about to overwrite the OS (and its included apps - usually including its browser) with a new product?
Especially as the release notes for Safari 10 said it was for improved compatibility with El Capitan?

Oh, what machinations are underway at Cupertino today? :p

I see. Same here. Just installed Safari 10, and no sign of Sierra yet.

However, seems they already removed the El Capitan download from the Apple Apps collection (which was just there a while ago when i checked). They're probably making way for the Sierra download.

You have a point there, Bazza1. Why not bundle everything in one download? -- makes much more sense.
Then again I remember the same experience with a previous update (not sure if it was Yosemite or El Capitan) where I got Safari and iTunes ahead of the main OS download (if my memory serves me right)
