Display file transfer in menu bar/Dock?

Hi,

So, I'm wondering if there is a way to show a file transfer in Finder in the menu bar or dock? If I am transferring some files and move the file transfer window out of view, it's a hassle to get it back and check.

I was thinking there might be a way of displaying the status. Kind of like what happens when you download a file. There is a small progress bar in the dock that shows the download. This way, I don't have to have the transfer bar somewhere visible to see how much longer.
