    I don’t have a fusion drive, but I’ve not had any issues with time machine backups and macOS Mojave.

    No fusion drive on my MBP, but I did a backup today (on Mohave) and got a message that I was backing up an encrypted drive using an unencrypted storage device. Was odd as I never got that before.

    That is an excellent message to let people know that using FileVault on their computer to encrypt data to prevent it being easily copied or viewed if the computer is stolen is threatened by backing up to a non-encrypted Time Machine drive. Lose the drive and your data that you protected on your computer's internal storage is exposed.
