L2TP VPN Problem

I use L2TP VPN to connect to my office network. But after a while it does not connect any more until I reboot my macbook and after rebooting it works perfectly again. Does anyone know about this problem and how to fix?

I think something like restarting a service can fix this problem but don't know which and how.

If you're using a VPN app, check the settings to see if there's a timeout option that's checked. In addition, does it appear to be disconnecting while idle after a period of time?

I administer an enterprise that uses L2TP VPN client and don’t have any reports of problems like that or my own 3 Macs having problems. Your network administrator might be able to help say exactly what’s going on. I will view VPN logs when a user does report problems to see what the security appliances receive in the process.
