i7 MB or 13" mbp?

i5 3.1 /8G /512GB SSD 13" Macbook Pro with Touch Bar is the same price as the 12" Macbook with i7 16GB and 512GB SSD.

Which one would be better?

I like the compact-ness of the 12. I have the original 2015 model and frankly, it's too pokey for me.

I'm using a 13" 2017 mbp as configured as above and it's quite snappy. This is not my computer but a loaner while my 15" 2016 mbp is being repaired by Apple for a defective keyboard.

I've thought of getting a maxed out 13" mbp however if I need more power I have my 15 so that makes little sense.

I want something small but fast.

I've tried the newest surface pro which has impressive specs but I just can't get used to touch and the add on keyboard.

I was looking at the beginning of your post and I think you should always go Apple Pro. You'll be able to do more with the 13" Pro then you would with the 12".

What do you plan on doing with your small one? Why not look at an iPad Pro?
