    I'm looking to upgrade from a 2008 black MacBook. I seek a portable with 16 GB RAM, for learning/using Final Cut Pro X, Swift, and Excel. I have a budget set for $2500 (including AppleCare and Final Cut Pro X).

    Is there an ideal configuration for my needs today? Or should I wait for the next models?
