Yes, and without hesitation. My current MacBook doesn't have a retina display.

While the non-retina MBP is indeed still a good machine, I’m with Karen... the retina display has ruined me for all other displays. I’d say "no thank you".

I wouldn't buy a new one without retina. Those have the latest specs and the newest design. The standard MacBook Pro's are becoming dated very quickly.

Oh yes my 2 cents. After what I looked at last week in my other thread I started. I see nothing wrong with the non retina. Yes of course colors and clarity POP - no doubt but for what I am going to use it for as a secondary computer and not graphics it would work fine for me.

Would and did. When I bought my MBP a few months ago, retina was available. I don't see the difference (don't on the iPads either), so it would be throwing $1,000 down the toilet for me.
