    Hello everyone.
I bought a Macbook 2020 Pro today and touched around the camera accidentally. As a result of this, there was a fingerprint there. I tried to clean up that fingerprint by an appropriate cloth and it just spread around and it never goes

It looks really annoying and I don't now what to do. I'm attaching the photo. I thought it might be a problem with coating. Have you ever experienced something like that?

Did you try using a eyeglass cleaner / lens wipe to clean that area?

    Yes, all the time…

I just clean the screen using a screen cleaning product.
And then I put my fingerprints back on it the next day

Yes, I tried both of them. I touched another place on the screen intentionally and it doesn't go away either. Even my 11 years old senior laptop doesn't have this kind of problems. It's just surprising.

I just did a Google search on "2020 macbook pro fingerprints on screen". It's not just you.

Have you tried a microfiber cloth? Like the small ones for cleaning your glasses?
I use nothing but these for cleaning the screens of my devices. I have several that I only use for this purpose.

Even dry they do the job, but I have to say I never had such a stubborn fingerprint.

Most times I use them dry, it even cleans very dirty screens, like from my iPad if I used it without stylus for quite some time. Sometimes I make these tiny clothes slightly damp, really slightly. And then clean it a second time with a dry cloth.

I don't know if apple warns against these cloths, but the coatings on lenses are pretty delicate and that is why I dare to use them on my devices.
